1. Who we are and who these Terms bind
The Learn Quran applications and the AI Feedback service are provided by Learn-Quran.co (“we”, “us”). These Terms form a binding agreement between us and you, the person using the service (“you”).
By creating an account, buying AI Credits, or submitting a recitation for AI Feedback, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the AI Feedback service.
If you are under the age of digital consent in your country (16 in much of the EEA, 13 in the United States and the United Kingdom, 18 in Indonesia for contracting purposes), you may use the service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for any purchases made on the account.
2. The service
AI Feedback analyses a recitation you record and returns an assessment of tajweed pronunciation: detected mistakes, explanations, and a score. It is a learning aid. It does not issue an ijazah, it does not certify your recitation, and it does not replace a qualified human teacher.
Alongside AI Feedback, the apps provide free features (lessons, practice, self-check) that do not consume AI Credits. Those features are governed by the same Terms but do not require a purchase.
3. Your account and your email address
You may sign in with Google, with Apple, or with your email address using a one-time code that we send to that address. The verified email address or third-party account you use is the access credential for your Learn Quran account.
3.1 You are responsible for keeping access to that email address
If you lose access to the email address on your account, you lose access to the account. This is not something we are able to repair, and it is not our responsibility.
Your mailbox belongs to you and to your email provider. We have no ability to prove that a person who no longer controls an email address is the same person who created the account, and no ability to restore or transfer access on the strength of an unverifiable claim. Attempting to do so would be the single most dangerous thing we could do to every other account we hold, because the same argument is exactly what an attacker would make.
Accordingly, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- You are solely responsible for retaining access to, and control of, the email address and any third-party sign-in account (Google, Apple) associated with your Learn Quran account, including renewing any custom domain, keeping the mailbox active, and preserving your own recovery methods with that provider.
- Loss of access to that email address or third-party account — for any reason, including account closure by your provider, expiry of a domain, an employer or institution withdrawing a mailbox, forgotten credentials, device loss, or your own deletion — is outside our control.
- We are not obliged to transfer an account, its purchase history, its learning progress, or any AI Credit balance to a different email address, and we are not liable for any loss of access, content, progress or unused balance that results.
- We will not merge, migrate, or re-key an account on the basis of screenshots, receipts, payment records, device identifiers, or personal information alone. None of those prove present control of the account identifier, and each of them is obtainable by someone who is not you.
- The correct remedy is to regain access to your email address with your email provider. After you can again authenticate with the verified account credential, you can use the account subject to these Terms and the applicable store’s rules.
This rule protects every account from transfer based on materials that can be copied or obtained by someone else. It does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded; where a law requires us to take an action, we will follow that law after an appropriate verification process.
3.2 Available sign-in methods and lawful requests
- The app may offer Google, Apple, and email-code sign-in. Availability can vary by device, operating system, store, and configuration; a displayed method is not a promise that an unverified account can be transferred to it.
- Account deletion requests are handled under section 12 and the Privacy Policy. We may require enough verified information to protect the account and other users from fraud.
3.3 Security of your account
Do not share one-time sign-in codes with anyone. We will never ask you for a code by phone, chat, or email reply. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account where that activity results from your disclosure of a code or your failure to secure your device.
4. AI Credits
An AI Credit is a unit of AI processing work, not money. It is not electronic money, not a stored-value instrument, not a deposit, and not redeemable for cash. It can be used only inside the Learn Quran apps, only to pay for AI Feedback, and only by the account that holds it.
- Each AI Feedback evaluation consumes credits according to the actual amount of AI processing that recitation required. A longer or more complex recitation consumes more than a short one.
- The apps show the available balance. Because the processing required for a recitation varies, we do not promise that a particular balance will buy a fixed number of evaluations.
- Recording and reviewing are free. Credits are consumed only when you send a recitation for AI Feedback.
- If an evaluation fails for a technical reason on our side, the credits for that attempt are returned to the same balance they came from.
- Credits cannot be transferred, sold, gifted, pooled between accounts, or exchanged between platforms.
5. One-time packs and existing subscriptions
5.1 One-time packs are the current purchase option
An AI Credits pack is a single in-app purchase that adds the quantity shown in the app and in the Apple App Store or Google Play checkout to your platform balance. It does not renew and does not create a subscription. If you later need more credits, you may choose to buy another pack.
Your unused credits do not reset. They remain in the same platform balance until used, refunded or revoked by the store, affected by a lawful account action, or otherwise handled as these Terms and applicable law require.
- The price shown by your app store, in your local currency, is the price you pay. Taxes are handled by the store as merchant of record.
- Payment is charged once when you confirm the purchase with the store.
- The quantity, product, price, currency, and tax treatment shown by the store immediately before confirmation control that purchase. Marketing examples in another currency are not the checkout price.
- A Store confirmation is not itself a credit grant. Our server verifies the exact transaction and then grants or idempotently confirms the credits. If that settlement is interrupted, use the recovery action in the app and do not buy the same pack again merely to retry.
5.2 Existing AI Credit subscriptions
We no longer offer a new AI Credit subscription through the current app checkout. If you already own an AI Credit subscription that the store still recognizes, we continue to verify its genuine renewal periods, add each verified period’s credits once, preserve unused credits, and provide recovery while that product remains supported.
- The store remains responsible for billing, renewal, cancellation, refund, and subscription status.
- You can manage or cancel an existing subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals according to the store’s rules; it does not remove credits already validly granted.
- An expired, refunded, revoked, or otherwise ineligible period does not create a new credit grant.
- Existing-subscription recovery is not an offer to begin a new subscription.
6. Credits are tied to the store you bought them on
AI Credits purchased through Google Play can be used only on Android. AI Credits purchased through the Apple App Store can be used only on iOS and iPadOS.
This follows from how the two app stores work: each store processes, taxes, refunds and revokes its own purchases, and neither can act on the other’s. Keeping each balance with the store that sold it is what lets us honour a refund or a cancellation correctly on either platform.
- Your balance is shown per platform inside the app. If you hold credits on the other platform, the app tells you so — it does not hide them.
- Credits you already held before this policy took effect on 27 July 2026 remain usable on any platform. We do not apply this rule retroactively to credits you had already bought.
- A pack, or a verified period from an existing subscription, grants credits only to the platform associated with that store. If you want paid AI Feedback on both iOS and Android, each platform needs its own available balance.
7. Unused balances
Unused AI Credits do not reset or expire merely because time passes, an existing subscription renews or ends, or an account is inactive. They remain on the account while it exists and remains in good standing, subject to an applicable store refund, revocation, a lawful account suspension, or a non-waivable legal requirement.
AI Credits are not cash, a deposit, or a stored-value account. The refund and cancellation process for store purchases is described in section 8. If we discontinue AI Feedback or a law requires a particular remedy for an unused balance, we will give any notice and provide any remedy that the law requires.
8. Refunds, cancellation and chargebacks
All purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those stores are the merchant of record and handle refunds under their own policies; we cannot issue a refund for a store purchase directly.
- Apple: request a refund at
reportaproblem.apple.com. - Google: request a refund through Google Play order history or Google Play support.
- Where the law of your country grants a statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation (for example the 14-day right under EU/UK consumer law for distance contracts), that right applies and is not diminished by this section. Note that where you have asked for immediate performance of a digital service and have used it, that right may be reduced in proportion to the use, as permitted by law.
When a store tells us a purchase was refunded, cancelled or revoked, we remove the corresponding credits from the balance they were granted to, down to a minimum of zero. We never take a balance negative, and we never remove credits from a different platform’s balance.
Repeated refunds after use, or refunds obtained by misrepresentation, are grounds for suspension under section 12.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit audio you do not have the right to submit, or audio that is not a Quranic recitation intended for assessment;
- attempt to obtain credits without paying, including by tampering with purchase receipts, replaying store transactions, or exploiting a defect — any credits obtained this way may be removed;
- use automated means to submit recitations at a scale beyond ordinary personal learning;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute AI Feedback output as a service of your own;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our models or prompts;
- upload unlawful content, or content that infringes another person’s rights.
10. Accuracy of AI feedback
AI Feedback is produced by machine-learning models. It is frequently accurate and it can be wrong. It may miss a real mistake or flag one that is not there, and results can vary between attempts on the same recitation.
Any accuracy claim we publish is a claim about our own evaluation set, described as such at the point we make it, and is not a guarantee about your individual recitation. Where AI Feedback and a qualified teacher disagree, follow the teacher.
We do not warrant that AI Feedback is fit for certification, examination, assessment for ijazah, or any purpose beyond personal learning.
11. Content and intellectual property
- Your recordings remain yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process them solely to produce your feedback, to store your history for you, and — only in de-identified, aggregated form — to measure and improve accuracy. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what happens to a recording.
- The apps, lesson content, interface, models, prompts and AI Feedback presentation remain ours or our licensors’, and are protected by copyright and other laws.
- The Quranic text itself is not owned by us.
12. Suspension, deletion and termination
You may stop using the service at any time, and you may request deletion of your account and its data from within the app or by contacting us. Deletion removes your recitation history and personal data subject to the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.
Deleting your account forfeits any unused AI Credit balance on it. A balance belongs to an account; when the account is gone there is nothing for it to belong to, and we cannot reconstruct it later. Before deleting, review the store-refund and statutory rights that may apply to your purchase; deletion does not create a new cash-refund right.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law. Where the breach is not serious we will contact you first. On termination for cause, unused credits obtained through the conduct in question are forfeited; credits legitimately purchased are handled according to applicable store rules and non-waivable law.
We may discontinue the AI Feedback service. If we do, we will give reasonable notice and comply with any non-waivable legal obligation concerning an unused balance.
13. Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for AI Credits in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of progress, or loss of access resulting from your loss of control of your email address or third-party sign-in account (section 3).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any non-excludable right you have as a consumer under the law of your country — including Indonesian Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection, the EU Consumer Rights Directive and Digital Content Directive, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, and the Australian Consumer Law where applicable.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes that affect your rights or the price or content of what you have bought, we will give notice in the app or by email before the change takes effect, and where required by law we will ask for your consent. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the service and exercise any rights that applicable law gives you in relation to an unused balance.
The version number and effective date at the top of this page always identify the operative version.
15. Governing law, disputes and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and the courts of Jakarta have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, nor of your right to bring proceedings in your local courts where that law gives you that right.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us — most issues are resolved far faster that way.
