Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers about AI Credits, one-time purchases, recovery, and signing in. If something here contradicts the Terms, the Terms are what binds — but we have tried hard to make sure they agree.

AI Credits

What is an AI Credit?

It is a unit of AI work — the fuel that AI Feedback runs on. It is not money and it is not a wallet balance. One credit is not one check: a longer or more complex recitation uses more credits than a short one, because it genuinely costs more to analyse.

The app shows your available balance. Because different recitations use different amounts of AI processing, a balance is not a promise of a fixed number of future checks.

What happened to “Rp5.000 for 3 checks”?

We replaced it. A fixed pack of three checks was unfair in both directions: someone reciting a short āyah paid the same as someone triggering ten times the analysis, and we lost money on exactly the learners who were practising hardest.

The replacement is metered AI Credits sold as one-time, non-renewing packs. The starter example is 35,000 credits at the US$1.99 price point. Your store shows the actual product, local price, currency, and tax before you confirm. One credit is not one check: the app quotes and charges the measured AI work for each completed evaluation.

Do my credits expire or reset?

No. Whatever you do not use stays in the same platform balance. Time passing does not zero it. Refunds, store revocations, lawful account action, or account deletion can affect the balance as explained in the Terms.

Is this a subscription?

No, not for a new purchase in the current checkout. Each displayed pack is one purchase and does not renew. The store’s confirmation sheet also identifies it as an in-app purchase, not a recurring plan.

If you bought an AI Credit subscription in an earlier version, the app can still recover genuine owned periods and their already-granted credits. That compatibility does not start a new subscription.

I bought credits on my Android phone. Why can’t I use them on my iPad?

Because the purchase was made with Google Play, and Google Play — not us — is the merchant for it. The App Store cannot see, refund, or revoke a Google Play purchase, and Google Play cannot do those things for an App Store purchase.

Keeping each balance with the store that sold it is what lets us honour a cancellation or a refund correctly on either platform. So: credits bought on Google Play are used on Android; credits bought on the App Store are used on iOS and iPadOS.

The app tells you when you hold credits on the other platform — it does not quietly show you a zero. And any credits you already held before 27 July 2026 still work on both.

Do I need credits on both platforms if I use iPhone and Android?

Yes, if you want AI Feedback on both devices. Your learning progress, lessons and history sync across devices with your account as normal — it is only the purchased credits that stay with their store. You do not need to buy both at once; buy on a platform only when you want paid AI Feedback there.

How do I manage an older AI Credit subscription?

New packs do not renew, so there is nothing to cancel. If you already own an older AI Credit subscription, manage it in your device settings because the store controls its billing:

  • iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Learn Quran → Cancel.
  • Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Learn Quran → Cancel.

Cancellation stops later renewals according to the store’s rules. It does not remove credits already validly granted to your balance.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by the store that took your payment: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google through Play order history. We cannot refund a store purchase ourselves.

When a store tells us a purchase was refunded, we remove the matching credits from that platform’s balance, never below zero and never from the other platform’s balance.

What if I stop using the app? Do you keep my money?

No. Credits do not reset or expire just because time passes or you have not opened the app. They stay with an active account, subject to the store’s refund or revocation decision, lawful suspension, and any rule that the law cannot let us exclude.

One exception worth knowing: if you delete your account, any unused balance goes with it. A deletion does not create a cash-refund right, so review the store’s refund process before deleting.

Signing in

How does signing in with an email code work?

You type your email address, we send a 6-digit code to it, you type the code back. There is no password to remember or leak. The code works once, expires after a few minutes, and stops working after a few wrong attempts.

We will never ask you for that code by phone, chat, or in reply to an email. If someone asks you for it, they are trying to take your account.

Should I use Google, Apple, or email?

Any of them can be a good choice. Google, Apple, and an email code are separate sign-in proofs; they reach one account only when we have securely linked them after verification. We never link accounts merely because a display name or email text happens to match. In particular, Apple’s Hide My Email can use a private relay address that is different from your usual address.

Use a method you expect to control in the long term. Keep the recovery information for that method current with Google, Apple, or your email provider.

I lost access to my email. Can you move my account and my credits to a new address?

No — and we want to be straightforward with you about why, rather than leave you waiting on an answer that is not coming.

Your email address is the key to your account. If you can no longer receive mail there, we have no way to tell you apart from someone who has simply learned your details. Receipts, screenshots, a device you are holding, or knowing your name and purchase history do not prove it either — those are exactly what an attacker would present.

If we transferred accounts on that basis, every account we hold, including yours, would be one convincing message away from being stolen. We therefore do not transfer an account based only on those materials. We will still comply with any non-waivable legal obligation after appropriate verification.

The fix is with your email provider. Recover the mailbox — most providers have a recovery process, and for a work or school address the administrator can usually help. Once you can authenticate with the verified account credential again, you can sign in normally.

Prevention matters: keep your email provider’s recovery phone and backup address current, and choose a sign-in method you expect to control over time.

How do I delete my account?

From inside the app, in Settings, or by writing to [email protected] from the address on the account. We process a verified request under the Privacy Policy and any applicable law. Some financial records may need to be retained where the law requires it; your request does not make an unverifiable account transfer possible.

Remember that deleting the account also gives up any unused credits on it.

The AI itself

Is the feedback always right?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. It is frequently accurate and it does make mistakes — both missing a real error and flagging one that is not there. Two attempts at the same āyah can differ.

If AI Feedback and your teacher disagree, follow your teacher. This is a practice tool between lessons, not a replacement for one, and it does not certify anything.

What happens to my recording?

Nothing leaves your phone until you tap send. After that it is uploaded over an encrypted connection, analysed, and stored against your account so your history works across devices. It is not used to train third-party AI models. Deleting an item from your history deletes the recording too.

The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

Does recording cost credits?

No. Record, listen back, and re-record as often as you like — that is all free and local. Credits are used only when you send a recitation for AI Feedback.

Is there anything free?

Yes. The lessons, the practice exercises and the self-check flow are free and do not use credits. We also offer a free AI check so you can see what the feedback is like before deciding whether to buy.

Still stuck?

Write to [email protected] from the email address on your account and tell us what you were doing, on which device, and roughly when. That is usually enough for us to find the exact request in our logs and give you a real answer rather than a guess.
